7 Jan 1883 |
Fairview, Fulton, Illinois |
- Family tradition says she was born in Peoria but her birth is registered in Fulton.
Her birth registration indicates that her father was 29 and born in Wisconsin living in Fairview and was a farmer; her mother was 27 and born in Ohio. It appears that her mother's name was Mariah or Marrah McCoon. The physician was J.D. Curtis of Fairview.

Illness |
- Eva's physician, according to the death certificate, was a Dr. Wilson. Grammy told me that the Doctor was a black man who lived with his wife just down the street and he had his own hospital. Grammy recalls being fascinated with how his hands were white on his palms and she thought he and his wife were really nice people. Grammy also remembers that her Mama really liked him.

Died |
12 Jan 1922 |
Oilton, Creek, Oklahoma |
- The day after Eva gave birth to Albert Edward she developed pneumonia acute and pleurisy and died 10 days later from a cerebral hemorrage. Heart disorder/stroke; Eva had a stroke (cerebral apoplexy) during her 20 minute labor with Albert Edward. Typically this causes the person to loose consciousness and they lie motionless then their lungs collect fluids which result in penumonia. Eva was apparently unconscious from her stroke from Dec. 21, 1921 until her death at 8:00 Jan. 12, 1922 (22 days).

- Eva and her son Albert are buried next to one another. Eva has a headstone in an Oilton cemetery and I have pictures of it.
|
Notes |
- Eva enjoyed singing duets with her sister, Violet. Her daughter, Virginia, remembers her soprano voice singing "Come with me Josephine in my flying machine", "When Johnnie Comes Marchin Home", "Bluebird of Happiness", and "There's a Long Long Trail Awinding".
Eva was a member in the Loyal Order of Moose, The Legionaires of Oilton, Creek, Oklahoma.
According to the Census she attended school for 7 months.
