    • "Mr. Parker removed from Connecticut early in life, and become one of the pioneers of the town of Decatur. He owned the farm upon which he lived, and reared a family of eight children, six of whom are now living, viz: Mary, widow of Mr. Secor, living in Ulster County; Emily, widow of William H. Day, living in Decatur; Mrs. Rury; Hannah, widow of Peter C. Decker, living in Ultster County; Marsha, widow of Charles Brundage, living in Ulster County; Margaret, wife of Murrell Starkweather, of Decatur. ...The parents of Chauncey Parker were Timothy and Eunice Parker. They were natives of Rhode Island, and in an early day came to the county of Otsego, settling in the town of Decatur. They were farmers and reared a family of nine children, all of whom are now deceased. Timothy Parker died at the age of ninety-seven, and his wife at the age of seventy-five. The former was a Democrat in political belief. He was a preacher in the Methodist Episcopal Church."[CI:145:?3:CI] [1]
